This works because of the way blood, i.e. delivers proteins, sugars, vitamins, and minerals to the joints and bone. Blood is squeezed into these hard surfaces with weight bearing activity. We need the pressure of physical activity to “push” the nutrients through the hard dense bone and cartilage.
