I came across an interesting research article that I think you will find useful.
What they found was the small intestine had to have lots of healthy bacteria to break down the fibers that minerals attached to.
These are the probiotics in fermented foods: homemade pickles and sauerkraut, greek yogurt, anything that is fermented but not heat pasteurized.
The article focused on what keeps these probiotics alive in your intestine.
* High fiber diet – salads and crunchy vegetables (Prebiotics)
* Fermented foods for the healthy bacteria (Probiotics)
* Intestinal pH – healthy foods vs fried foods
If your digestion isn’t what it should be there’s work to be done. It’s more than feeling blah, it may be leading to hip and spine fractures. Not wanting to be negative here, but I want you smart and safe.
Protecting your digestion:
* Food allergies are the number one reason for constipation and diarrhea – try no cow dairy.
* Crunchy fruit and vegetables. Any vegetable that you like, but daily.
* Non dairy yogurts. Or greek yogurt if dairy does not bother you.
* Homemade fermented foods.
Your bowels are supposed to move 1 -2 times a day.
If not, check out my Stan store for a pdf down load on more you can do.
Call the office for a first morning’s urine pH kit to track your cellular pH – it’s free.
