Your immune system is a wonderful thing. It starts in the digestive tract and protects the entire body from there. It protects us from foreign invaders and pollutants, and at the same time helps us heal and repair.
So why does it not work right all the time? And why does the immune system get so out of control that we have autoimmune conditions?
* Diabetes
* Fibromyalgia
* Irritable bowel – colitis conditions
* Migraine headaches
* Rheumatoid arthritis
To name just a few. It is an overactive immune system.
* Chemicals in foods
* Environmental Chemicals
* Pollutants of all types
* Toxic metals
And not enough nutrients for timely repair.
This is one reason why chiropractic is popular. The chiropractic manipulation stimulates the nervous system and helps relax the entire body, including the immune system. It is a whole-body anti-inflammatory treatment.
Chiropractic helped me greatly when I was in high school with headaches and fibromyalgia-type muscle pains. When I went to chiropractic school, I wanted to know why some people have this dilemma and some don’t.
Research has caught up and finally answered the question. There are very specific white blood cells that, if turned on, can let inflammation loose in the body. They are very specific T lymphocytes.
The genes in these white blood cells have to be turned on to be problematic. A healthy person will not turn them on. This is something to remember with all genetic testing. If you are healthy, they are simply dormant.
But if we have an immune system that is overloaded with pollutants and stress, that is when a negative gene can come to life.
Treatments, supplements for inflammation, and medications help with the symptoms. But you and I want to know how to stop the inflammation, put the bad gene back in the bottle, so to speak.
And you can.
The reason I like laboratory testing with the supplements. Chiropractic helped me a lot. I wanted to go to chiropractic school and become a chiropractor. But I needed to learn more to find out what was causing the problem.
Tomorrow specifics on what we find in testing and how it affects the body and the responses we get.
Stay healthy,
