Happy New Year. I hope this year brings great things for you and your family.
NEW YEAR SOLUTIONS
If you need help with any health issues, email me. I’ll send back practical suggestions on what to do and what to try. No concern is too big or too small!
Now for my favorite New Year activity: setting goals.
I have a suggestion this year: focus on just one goal. I recently watched a video by podcaster Chris Williamson, who promotes this “One Goal” idea. His point is simple—we don’t have time for multiple goals. When we fall behind on one, we often abandon all of them. By having just the one goal, we are more likely to have success.

THE ONE GOAL
This requires some thought. What single accomplishment would make the biggest difference in your life between now and next year?
- Take your time writing this down.
- Next, write down the habits needed to reach that goal.
- Identify one daily action that moves you toward it.
Choose a small daily action you can stick with. If it’s easy to do every day, you’ll follow through and succeed. If it feels overwhelming, you’ll quit. Even for complicated goals, start with one simple manageable step. With one goal and consistent daily effort, you’ll have something to celebrate next year.
SUCCESSES
Like the goal setting mentioned above, incremental changes really do make a difference in our health overall! We had some great wins at the office this year that I would like to share with you.
Heart Health The leading cause of artery inflammation and blockage is elevated homocysteine, a protein breakdown product. High homocysteine damages artery walls. Several patients lowered their levels through diet changes (eating more vegetables) and targeted supplements based on their test results. This is true prevention, and I’m excited about these results.
Chronic Low Back Pain We achieved excellent results this year with chronic low back pain and lower leg muscle problems, including Achilles tendon issues. Stability ball exercises reduce spinal rotation during walking, which decreases strain on joints and discs.
Stability, Falls, and Joint Pain I attended a seminar on fall prevention using simple but effective exercises. Combined with orthotics, these exercises have helped prevent falls, improved stamina, and reduced knee and hip pain. The feedback has been very positive.
Brain Signaling and Stress Another valuable seminar this summer covered how the brain memorizes stress response patterns. When stress continues for months, your brain adapts by changing how it signals your adrenal glands. This can disrupt hormones, leading to poor sleep and daily fatigue. Our new testing approach based on this information has helped us achieve faster results.
Better Visual Explanations We’ve added a full-wall whiteboard to help explain how your body works. Watch for more information in future emails and videos.
Improved Inflammation Testing I’m always looking for better testing options. In 2025, we started using Vibrant Laboratories, which specializes in detecting chemicals and molds. They also offer comprehensive testing for food sensitivities, additives, and other body systems. This lab focuses on finding the root causes of inflammation, and it’s been working very well.
If there are health topics you’d like covered in future emails or videos, I’d love to hear from you! You’re welcome to share this email with friends or family members. I’m happy to answer health questions and provide guidance.
You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Whether your goal is big or small, lasting change happens one step at a time—and having the right support makes all the difference. I’m here to help you take the next right step, stay consistent, and move toward better health throughout the year ahead.
